To solve this problem in the last release we introduced a system that notifies you when certain things happen to your account on FACEIT. As many of you told us in the past, if you write something to someone you need to know that it is delivered to him and that you can count on that player’s reaction to your message/invite etcetera. A friend is online and wants you to join his team? Your match is ready and your team is spamming your chat to get you on the server? Good luck knowing it. Until today we made it really hard to remain in touch with what happened on FACEIT when you were not at your PC with FACEIT open. This doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to play FACEIT if you are an Apple user - we will give more details on this once the private beta is over. Prior Windows versions and other operating systems won’t be supported. The first versions of the client will only support Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10. We will be updating you on the next step, who will be forced to use it, and many other things as soon as this phase is closed! We expect this phase to be short and last 7 to 10 days. If you are interested in being part of this set of users you can apply here. This first version will only be available to selected users as we are still testing the software itself. Is It Ready?Īs of today, we are starting the private beta of our Client Anti-Cheat. This is a long term effort which we believe will eventually lead to detections that would not be possible with an approach limited to client side detections.

This means that starting today our Data Science team can process and analyse all this data in real time to keep improving and automating cheating detections. the client anti-cheat, the server side anti-cheat, the FBI system, etc.

This is going to have a large impact in the short term as it adds a significant layer of protection Ģ) By building the client with an integrated approach and combine all information we gather from different sources (i.e. We won’t go yet (if ever) into the specifics of how the client works, but in general we can say that we decided to approach it in two ways:ġ) By relying on typical client side detections.
